I always recommend SAMSUNG....probably one of the best brands for LCD TV's on the market....Ask anyone that knows about electronics and SAMSUNG is almost rated #1.....we personally have 3 SAMSUNG LCD's and they are amazing!
I know its too late now but we bought a 32" samsung lcd for our bedroom during the holidays and they had a major sale at Sears and got $300 off so we got it for $499....that TV has since been replaced by a newer model but keep your eyes open as there are all sorts of sales....and you can always Price Match at Sears, Future Shop Etc....good luck!
