italian can be oily, depends what brand you get. Could be an oil/vinegar mix with some spice as well.

Could be that too, especially since Kraftfoods are providers to large corporate cafeterias and also suppliers to school cafeterias for stuff like that. It could be a greek dressing (the oily kind Kraft makes) could also be something like sundried tomato vinaigrette...

Just cook the pasta (and rinse in luke warm water) , slice and dice your veggies then stir in whatever dressing it was that you liked and voila
refridgerate after.

The pasta is rotini and looks like a basic pasta salad. I know that you can find a powdered pasta salad mix along side the gravy mixes, etc. I cannot remember the brand (sorry!) but the package is blue and all you add is oil (usually canola or vegetable) and vinegar. That might satisfy your cravings. I have made it in the past and added whatever veggies I have on hand...carrots, cucumbers, asparagus, artichoke hearts, olives, peppers. etc.

mixing the dressing when the pasta is warm is easier (not when hot) BUT!! remember not to add oil or butter to the pasta water when it is cooking, or your dressing will not stick to the starch in the pasta once it starts to cool...
