Well, today is National Gorgeous Grandma Day in case you didn't know,
It's a great day to call your Grandma & tell her you love her so,
Maybe your Grandma was a lady whom you turned to, when life went off track,
Or perhaps your Grandma was a Nana who never took any flack!
Some of you have a Granny who could bake the best cherry pie,
A sweet Baba, Nonna or Oma who's guidance was always set to apply,
I had a dear "old" Irish Grandma who could give dirty looks that could take you down,
A Grandma who didn't care for "exuberance", but her piano playing was renown,
My best friend had a Nonna who quietly sit on their front porch,
She dressed in black from head to toe; even on the days that did scorch,
My Momma was a pretty good Grandma, especially to my two spalpeens,
She used to read them stories & bake them treats & listen to their dreams,
Being a Grandma is a gig that I must tell you is pretty much first class,
It's so cool when they come to visit & even offer to cut the grass,
Though I may be a Grandma who needs to work harder on my abs,
& also I'm a texting Granny who mutes all youtube ads,
Happy National Gorgeous Grandma Day to Grannies everywhere,
Now call your loving Grandma & tell her how much you care.
