i have moved so many times and always have a kitty that when they
hear any sort of moving thingy ie moving tape they look for a box to get into
but yikesy usually mine can fit in the one they get into, silly cats :)

Today is National Dog Day, so your dog should be pampered & cuddled,
Even if your dog sometimes does things that leave you feeling befuddled,
I have a dog who is 8 years old & is lab-shepherd cross,
She likes to remind the squirrels that she is in fact the boss,
Still likes to dig, play stick, fetch balls & go for runs in the field,
When it comes to milk bones or other treats, she chomps down an impressive yield,
High on the dogs who shed too much hair chart, she is a bit of a sucky old girl,
Does not like thunder or fireworks as those sounds send her into a whirl,
A rescue girl who likes the couch or the doorway of my room,
I must admit having her company often keeps away any gloom.

Also, I was inspired by McSkier a couple of years ago to rework a poem that I had written when we lost a very special English Setter about 20 years ago. Hard to part with a such a valued member of the family.
Our loyal & devoted friend how we'll forever cherish you,
A valued member of our family from the moment you made your debut,
That welcoming greeting you bestowed up us,
We would walk through the door, & you’d make such a fuss,
That wagging tail made your feelings clear & conveyed your sweetdevotion,
Just by sharing your life with us, kept things balanced in harmonic motion,
You never judged us or turned away as you were always there,
Your majestic elegance charm & poise & you still had some to spare,
If a tribute of gratitude is possible this is our dedication,
It seems you were the glue in our family’s sound foundation,
Rest well dear girl we love you as you enriched our lives beyond measure,
Beautiful puppy our baby girl, you’ll always be our treasure.
