Since Boo changed the rep system I don't think it matters at all if you give someone a rep or not. It looks like it depends only on the number of posts. :bawling:
I looks like you get 1 rep to begin and one for every 10 posts. If any one out there has something different than that, let us know. I hope this changes.

Happy rep day. I'm supposed to be a on a plane right now, heading for Vancouver. The flight was cancelled. :bawling: I leave tomorrow at 6 am instead. I won't be able to sign into SC until September 1.

Looking at our Stats, that seems to be what REP POWER is based on.

But with every REP that I receive from others, I am still gaining REP POINTS, which is what I think makes the bars, turn into stars?

I'm pretty sure that rep received makes a difference. I was @ work yesterday evening & overnight. While I was working a bunch of really nice sc'ers sent rep my way. When I logged on, I found that I now own a shiny new star !!

I am pretty sure that the star is there because of the Rep power that increased. Look at the number of posts you have, divide by 10 and add one since everyone starts at one and that should be your rep power. If reps received meant anything, getting reps would add to that. I sincerely hope I am wrong, but I don't think so.

I checked over 100 members and the reps all match to the following formula:

Posts divided by 10 discard the remainder and add 1.
