Leaping from Half Dome is illegal, but in Yosemite the sport of BASE jumping is soaring in popularity anyway. Climbers say it's faster (and more fun) to parachute into the valley than to hike all the way down the back of the mountain.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh! I wouldn't climb up there, so getting down quickly wouldn't be a worry to me. Looks like a quick way to get dead too.

Sam the seagull stealing Doritos

The fearless bird lies in wait every day and pounces at a corner shop in Aberdeen when the door opens.
He sneaks in, grabs his spicy Doritos, then flies off with them in his beak and shares them with other birds.
The seagull, nicknamed Sam by staff and customers, has become so popular locals have started paying for his crisps
