but didnt someone say before that you won't get your points if its an X whatever event if you use the giftcard to buy 25 dollar worth of stuff anymore

basically what im trying to say is can i buy a gift card worth about 30 dollars and still get the points

What?? Who said that where? I doubt the legality (and truth) of that. A gift card is like currency.

[Edit] I'm going to pay with a gift card too. I always do.
