I would think the magazine deal is still available, many people reported having signed up recently.

I'm a bit outta the loop. Does anyone have the link to this promo? I'm curious what it's about and the diff between a VIP SPC card and a regular SPC.

Do I have to be a student to use an SPC Card?
SPC Card is an exclusive student membership program. Any aged student may use an SPC Card including any elementary, junior high school, secondary school, CÉGEP, college, university, private and public academies and schools of special focus or interest (e.g. language schools). Students that are 16 years of age or older may be asked to provide valid student ID in order to be eligible to receive applicable savings. Merchant locations have the right to refuse any discount if student ID is not shown.
Parents may not use the SPC Card on behalf of their student, the child must be present and ONLY the child’s items are eligible for applicable discounts.
Exceptions: VIP SPC Card holders and BMO SPC Mosaik MasterCard holders do not require student ID

I just got mine and was wondering the same thing. Can't they say I am too old to be a student? I already feel like I am being accused of stealing half the time I use coupons...will this be worse? Where have people who don't look like student age (not trying to insult any age ) used this card without any issues? I am always shopping with my young kids with me. Thanks for any advice anyone can give...I just hate feeling like i am doing something wrong when all I am trying to do is save a few $$$.Last edited by stephanie73; Tue, Aug 18th, 2009 at 02:15 PM.
