How do I add to someones Rep?

When a member is OFFline, I see that there is a button at the bottom of their posted profile but what about when they are online?

Do you see a little grey cloud between the green dot and the white/red triangle under your name? Click on that.

Yup, but the member I'm trying to give rep to doesn't have that.

I'll pm you with the members name if thats ok?

The rep button is actually a scale.

Something like after 4 weeks, a post becomes too old to give rep to and you won't see that icon on the post anymore.

OFFLINE, their button is dark(greyish blue?)
ONLINE, the button is green.
if it is RED, the person has it set to invisible mode, you can't tell if they are online or not.

I believe only the mods/administrators can see the red if the member chooses to "appear" offline though. To the rest of us it shows up as offline even if they're online.

Couple of points to make....

On-line status - Green=On-line, Gray=Off-line or Invisible, Red is seen only by the user or mods when in stealth mode.

Rep has a limit!! 50 per day max and you can only rep a user once every 20 times.

The following link helped me a great deal when I was first exploring.

Other great areas are found under the Forum/Forum home tab... then scroll to about the middle. Look for the Games Room and (Tea Room) links... this is where the cool kids hang out.... LOL

Ah, this explains a lot, thanks...I was so confused!! So "rep" is basically another user's way of agreeing with you or thanking you for a post you made! That's very good to know...I was getting comments from people and had no idea why or how they were doing it and felt badly that I didn't see them earlier, I thought I needed to PM them back.

Me too! I've now printed out a list of the kind people I want to rep back and spread the love around!

I wish I was as good with this as I am with coupons, points, and raincheques!
