Since we Canadians will be mostly cashing amazon.com gc's, we should share our experiences with ordering through amazon, duties and stuff.
I've ordered quiet a bit. If you are getting something that is from amazon and not one of the merchants the shipping isn't too bad. They add the duty charge on to your order so you pay that up front as well and aren't surprised at the post office. If they over charge you on duty they refund the difference to your account (I've had that happen twice now). I ordered gifts for my son for Christmas and his birthday last year as well as my Kindle!Quote:
