No more daily 150 for recommendations , starting this weekend ....bummer

Our recommendation system allows users to recommend useful websites for a particular keyword and is an integral part of our search engine that makes us unique as compared to other search engines. We have noticed for awhile now that the volume of garbage/spammy recommendations & comments have increased substantially and has made our "People Recommended Search Results" portion of our website produce a low quality set of search results. We have therefore unfortunately come to the conclusion that we can no longer incentivize recommendations/comments as the act of giving points for recommendations is the chief reason for the rapidly deteriorating quality of our recommendations. As one of our utmost priorities is to keep our search results useful and relevant, we had to take this action after much thought and discussion. For those concerned about earning somewhat "easy" points, we have some new features coming out soon (including a large video offering) that will fill that void. We are also coming out with a slightly tweaked Search & Win that will randomly award higher point values. All changes will take place this weekend. Thanks for understanding.

Dang. I always tried to give genuine recommendations. I hope the increased search wins make up for it.

thanks for the info on the change, I was wondering why I wasn't getting any pts this morning. Looks like im back to getting a GC every 3-4 weeks rather than every 10 days.

yes, just the regular search wins every 1.5/2 hours. I got 2 so far today...both 10's.
