& family, neighbours & friends were alike; when we all once Stood on Guard, <o:p></o:p>
Labour Day should make us grateful to the ones who blazed us a trail,<o:p></o:p>
As we have comforts of life taken for granted & so much to our avail,<o:p></o:p>
A day for unity with others & human contact – not a text or blackberry greeting,<o:p></o:p>
