So now we are sending gift to people who think I'm a piece of Sh*t and I wrecked his life and who want their son to leave his wife at christmas, plus we are sending a 100(american) to the other Grandma in the old country, and cash gift to his two cousins and there families. I think it will be easier to slit my wrist then there.

Those of you with MIL/FIL trouble, so sorry....
I don't know if it's been just luck or what, but my siblings and their in-laws were all just like regular family.
My mom loved my husband like a son before we were even married, and he always said he had two moms.
I didn't get to have the in-law experience! My husband's dad came here for our wedding in 1989, and that's the only time I met him, and he passed away several years later. Panyi Matka came to Canada for a visit a year after he died. But of course there was a language problem for me, so there's not been much communication anyway even with letters/email/calls unless my husband does them (which he doesn't).
We've actually had more interesting situations with the other siblings of his who have emigrated here, or with many families from Yugoslavia who have come here - and want to be 'family' just because they are from the same country. That is where I have had to step in and draw some lines...
My parents adore BF...which is good lol
He loves my mom as well and I am grateful for that. For Christmas he wanted to buy her the most gifts and he did LOL, he says she deserves it bc she helps us out so much.
At least I am lucky that he doesn't hate my family hehe :)
My MIL lives in Calgary, we in Ontario. :cheesygrin: That's all I'm going to say.
Oh inlaws. My parents love my Husband, the love him so much the gave him a motorcycle one year. they treat my husband like the son they never had. My MIL and FIL wanted a hungrain christian daughter inlaw and insteas the got an Canada Jewish Daughter in law.

I will never understand how some parents do not except what there son or daughter has chosen for a partner. If your son/daughter is happy then why shouldn't you be for crying out loud. Life is to short. YesI'mCheap it is there loss for not wanting to except you and get to know hwat a great person you are!
