sooo....tired...must...sleep...
goodnight.
My 2 will eat anything - I call them my 4-legged garbage disposals. :P The cat's fav thing is peas & the dog will absolutely kill for steamed cauliflower.
I wish I could make Dobos torta, every time I've tried, it's been a disaster. My Mom used to make her own dough for retes (strudel), but now she cheats & uses the frozen phyllo sheets. She makes cherry, apple, cottage cheese, & cabbage. Oh & once she made potato strudel, which was great as a side dish, but I was the only one who went crazy for it (I love all things potato). Do you ever make paprikas krumpli (potato paprikas)? It's my specialty, cause it's fairly quick & idiot proof. I'm not particularly domestic. :embarassed:
Didn't feel like doing my dishes, so I procrastinated by shredding papers. I'm sleepy, but also hungry. Gonna do a naughty thing & have a Hagen Daaz bar (vanilla almond, yummy!). That should give me some fun dreams. :P
It's chicken paprikash ( I make both the kosher and the traditional version of it). I love strudel but I never make it. Cottage cheese and cabbage strudel would be good. My G*d Mother is czech and makes some of the best strudel ( sour pitted cherries). I love most Eastern European foods, I was born the wrong nationals, and raised they wrong nationals. I guess that is why I only date eastern European boys.
My Mom makes the cherry strudel with sour cherries & chopped walnuts, it's very yummy.
At one point, I had a specialist who was telling me my cholesterol levels were quite decent for someone with my health issues. I told her about some of the foods I eat (smoked bacon, heavy on the fatty parts, or lard on toast) & she couldn't believe my cholesterol wasn't through the roof. Luckily she was also Hungarian, so she understood what sorts of foods I was eating & didn't freak like some of my "Canadian" friends did the first time I tried to introduce them to those foods. :P
My parents' fav dish is lecso (onions, hot & mild peppers, tomatoes & sausage all cooked together) either served over rice or as is with lots of bread. My parents make dozens of containers' full of this in the late summer/early fall when those peppers are in season & freeze them to have quick meals in the winter.
French Toast Cupcake topped with bacon & maple icing. Does NOT fall into the category of healthy eating!

Morning all. We slept in again. Silly cat decided to sleep in the laundry basket cuddled in the dirty laundry. Lily dog & I think he's crazy, but he is our boy.
Hopefully I'll finish putting up my little tree today - silly cat keeps trying to eat it, I'm wondering if he'll realize it's not for snacking on once it's decorated.
Have a great day all!
One last gift to buy on behalf of my aunt for Kiera. CT has the 7 Disney Princesses for half price. I'm off to a late start today so I hope they still have some.
Wanted: the coupon missing below.....
Happy Monday!

Aw, that's cute!
Just finished an early lunch of stir-fried veggies. Now off to the theatre for a matinee.
