We had to put our little one out to fix a cavity at 2, we wnet to hospital i had to go in room as they put her out, talk about panick attack, they held her down and put the mask on her while she frecked and was looking at me to save her, boy did i feel awful. I took about 4 days after that for her to feel better, i think becasue she was out they were rough on her mouth and she was in alot of pain. Could only eat pudding, at the hospital they tried to get her to eat a popsicile, well the freezing had worn off and she started screaming when that cold popsicle hit her teeth. What were they thinking, i really wouldn't want to go thru that agan. Good luck to you.

Love pickled beets. What's your recipe? Mine is one my grandmother made when I was a kid.

Vinegar, brown sugar and a couple of cloves in each jar. When that brew is boiling you could stand over it and clear your sinuses for a year. LOL

Grandma's uses white sugar, vinegar water and pickling spice. yumm!!!

Also want to make some mustard beans and or mustard pickles......dills are done and but I have SOOOO MANY beets......froze some and made 24 jars already....this batch will be for my parents and grandma.....

pretending the strawberry crisp I made last night was eaten by my guests and is ALL gone. Not in the fridge.

Mine is vinegar water and white sugar, hubby want me to put some hot peppers in one jas of beets to see whhat happens. he can eat those ones.

I am boiling the rest and freezing tomorrow for making beet soup. I have done 50 jars of beets so far, some pickled hot peppers,this year i didn't have to do salsa, pickles,red pepper jelly or relish. I did so much last year that i didn't have to do any this year. Which is good since tomates and cucs got blight. I have to pick all my brussel sprout for freesing still. And my sweet peepers, i have to freeze some and do some in a jar where you layer with hot peppers, broil first, layer and salt ppper and garlic and fill with 3/4 vinegar and 1/4 oil. these can be used for sandwichwes. that is on next weeks schedule.

Oh, I just love picked beets, but won't be making any this year :(
We'll have to live with Bick's this year... which aren't really awful, but just not the same thing.
Last night had them with stew for supper - yummers!!!

Peppers would be interesting inthe beets...there is a recipe for beets n onions.....I want to make my grandmas horseradish beets this year.....grating the horseradish it NOT fun!!! I froze some to make borscht throughout the winter. not as good as fresh but still good!

sigh, I have a long list as well of things to make.....have not tried salsa or peppers but they sound good!

Have to go to the bank now because BMO just screwed up my TFSA and Investoline won't let me trade now. I had a bad feeling about this when I went to the Accounts manager at my bank. I had done all the paperwork online and took it to them for processing and she didn't really know what to do because the TFSA were just new. I had to tell her what to do!!!!!!!!!! So apparently she never followed through and sent the photo ID and signed contract to Investorline for me. NICE! Thats' all they had to do was fax those 2 sheets and she didn't. Thanks.

I am ready these posts and figuring out all what this website has to offer while putting off what I should be doing - figuring out how to make bumper pads for my twins' cribs.
