WM-3 items = 12cents (HUGE rant/rave)

Ay ay ay! NEVER again will I go thru self checkout at WM! I usually don't, but I THOUGHT I was on a time constraint as this was an unexpected trip and my friend was in to exchange catfood. He took a long time... finishing up just as I did. And I took a while--I'll explain why.

First, my brag... photo at the end. And yes, it includes the sad toothpaste coupon that doesn't have a new home!!

NOW, on to my RANT, and then RAVE... wait, what does rave even mean, lol!

I WAS going to buy a travel size arm and hammer toothpaste that was on the clearance shelf for 82cents--I took the only one there. The self checkout cashier helper lady argued with me that the PICTURE said "120ml", and the one I had was NOT '120ml.' I mentioned it says ANY, I've used it before, and should I go to customer service... so then SHE takes the coupon and toothpaste and asks someone over there (that OBVIOUSLY wasn't a manager of any sorts)... shot down! So I told her I didn't want the toothpaste!!! Then she was trying to figure out which coupon was for what item--now, keep in mind I only had THREE items total now, and had put thru the gummies with no prob, so 2 products and coupons left. She was asking me if I had scanned this and that yet...!!! Anyway, she took off the $3.87 for the tin candle and it didn't show on the screen... so she did it again, and again. Then tried to walk away without using my $5 coupon for SB! So she took that off... and I paid 12cents! Didn't think much of it until I looked at my receipt and saw that all 3 $3.87's came off!!! I'm a pretty honest person, but right now I just wanna sit in my "glory," lol... but mayeb tomorrow I'll feel differently about it. Cashier was nice, as was I... but boy OH boy was I ANNOYED!

I have never had such an issue with coupons. Not long ago one told me I couldn't use multiples for multiple items. I think I'll be writing a letter, email, or talking to a manager there (Red Deer, South)... just to get the peeeps on the same page for coupons!! So frustrating!!

I really wish people would know the meaning of the word ANY. If a specific size was to be bought it would say.

Where is the printable SB? I could have sworn I had seen it yesterday and now I have no clue, trying to make my list for shopping tomorrow.

I friggin hate shopping at WM for their friggin inconsistent processing of coupons...they are so whacked! They really really need to train their staff and straighten their crap out, otherwise SCers will choose to shop elsewhere!

Sorry it just gets under my skin when I read stuff like this...and the fact it happened to me yesterday at WM too...but in the end in my case, and yours, because the cashier was so difficult, their confusion ended up losing money for their store (my cashier rang up 2x $1.00 instead of 2x $.50 plus she dropped one of my coupons down inbetween her scanning station so they won't be getting reimbursed for that either). *deep breath* They really need to get with the program!!

Oh and PS...you can use that coupon on the travel size! It says ANY! maybe that staff person needs to carry a dictionary around with her...and if it wanted to exclude travel size, it would say so, or specify a size the coupon applies too. A&H comes in 90ml too! A**HOLES! GRRR LMAO

Maybe?! Altho, it appears that not all clearance is equal with stores.. hmm. I didn't even clip this coupon out as most kids vits start at 2 years... took me a while to clue in that my dd IS 2 now!! Saw the vits this AM before work, went to work, clipped the coupon from the mag (brought it in a while ago for the girls to read)... and then, unexpectedly went back in the PM and 2 were still there!! I was happy about that! We'll see what dd thinks of them...

I got one of the 120ml A&H toothpastes @ LD ... for .25 PM'd with WM, and stacked $1.75 in coupons. YES!!

And I was in WM, using my $2 Kellogg's coupons for 3 boxes of Raisin Bran & 2 boxes of Eggos ... the cashier told me I couldn't use all 5 coupons, I said "of course I can, it's one coupon per item, what's the problem?" She tells me the coupons are all the same ... wth, I'm thinking. I took a peek behind the counter - she was looking at the back printed side of the coupons, NOT the front with the picture!! LOL I leaned over the counter, said "Lemme fix that for ya" and flipped them picture side up. LMAO!!! Problem solved. She was a nice girl ... not the brightest crayon in the box, though. :D

Not playing devils advocate...but...it if specifies a "SIZE"...although it may say "ANY"...that means flavour/taste not size...that's my two cents...I have some A&H coupons that specify size and others that do not...if they don't specify "SIZE"..then yes...I will use them on a travel size...otherwise not...
