The fence in our backyard was built 5 yrs. ago. I hate the look of dulled wood so I want it stained to spruce up the look of the wood itself and improve the ambience of the backyard. We do not own a power washer and am wondering if anyone has any simple steps that I may follow to take on the project as soon as rain is out of the weather forecast. Can I just use a garden hose and a scrub brush? or can I skip the washing step if we've been getting a lot of rain recently? The videos, articles etc that I've seen, all mention cleaning fence with power washer. DH bought Rez Fence Stain in Redwood at Canadian Tire but we'll take it back for a lighter finish (something between oak and walnut is preferred). I thank you in advance for your assistance
