Just for interest, I tried using my Canadian Tire credit card, which gives 4% in points at Canadian Tire to buy a Canadian Tire gift card (they only carry their own gift cards) and received 0 points. So when I need a Canadian Tire gift card (occasionally use them because you get Canadian Tire points if you use cash, gift card or debit for gas purchases), I'll be buying it at RCSS or SDM!

Yes, this is how I thought I might use the credit card too, buy giftcards earn 3% for shopping elsewhere that I'd normally do anyway. I'm hoping to accumulate points to cover Christmas extras that I'd buy anyway at Loblaws stores so that the budget is evened out a bit more. We have two pcplus cards as well but use those points as we go along.

( my Petro station is right here on the corner near my house ) I have never seen an RCSS gas station here. The only 2 RCSS stores are both an annoying distance from me, one East and the other West of me. But if it ever changes, man I'll be all over that. The other day gas here was .99 ( for regular ) and I got my 12 cents off that! So I paid just .87 a Litre!! Not very often gas prices drop when I am close to empty, but this time worked out. I am still up! I should not be, but very late family dinner, so I hate to lay down right after that.

Well ther is only 2 of us and dh doesn't really like it that much so he uses other stuff but I love the foaming hand soap. I think I only bought about 12 or 14 of them. Still have a couple left from last time. Plus if you run out its is super easy to make your own foaming hand soap. Clean out container, add a couple of tablespoons of any liquid soap and fill the rest with bottled water. Plus I have 75 bars of soap so I had to sneak this purchase down to the basement before dh sees it! Totally out of pantry space! dh will have to start building more. 22 rolls of toilet paper and 22 rolls of paper towel take up a lot of space! lol but it feel better knowing that I have lots! Thanks for tip about the soft soap. I totally missed it.

you are not over reacting, I too was horrified that they killed her off! I mean a Butcher like Dexter lives and SHE dies? That was why when I started watching this new series called Limitless ( it is based on the movie of the same name with Bradley Cooper as lead ) and saw her come on the screen I was sort of shocked! I had no idea she was in this series, I read about it before it started on tv, but I only cared about the story line and if they were going to carry forward from the end of the movie with Bradley Cooper, which they did!
But then to see her come on screen as the lead FBI person in it I was so surprised!

I shop at RCSS, Zehrs and NoFrills so this is an easy decision, regardless of how things work out with SDM! I was wondering if it is worth trying to buy a vendor gift card, say petro canada and see it you get the points? I don't know why you wouldn't, when I buy other gift cards at sdm using my capital one credit card I get 2% as always so I see no reason for you shouldn't get full pc points. I actually cancelled out of posting because I have a Canadian Tire credit card as well that earns 4% at Canadian Tire stores and I've never tried buying gift cards there so who am I to ask you about your card when I don't know about my own lol! Anyway, I was going to look into my own card before inquiring about yours. Sounds like an awesome card, I will likely get one before the year ends.

I am retired, so I could give a flying leap about it now, I wear casual tops/pants and pj's here most days, so my laundry is not much. very funny!! have you ever seen what a jar of pasta sauce costs? Plus they put way too much salt, sugar and gosh knows what else into them, this way I know my sauce has only my own garden grown herbs in it and not much else. The taste cannot be compared to store bought. Look up Lycopene and how good it is for your body. We use sauce for many dishes like chili, pasta, lasagna, soups, stews, so there is never a danger of having too much, these preserves last for a few years in the jars. We also eat many other veggies every single day, ( green beans, cabbage, carrots, broccoli, lettuces, and peppers to name a few but I just don't post about them )
