I got a 2nd female about 5 days ago and they're doing good so far. A few scraps and growls the first couple days. Our current dog did not trust the new one so she had a hard time sleeping and eating for a while. But they're starting to get along. Got a clean bill of health from the vet yesterday so I really lucked out. Found her on Kijiji and she is the sweetest little thing ever. I totally recommend getting a 2nd. It's not much more work (it is 2x the vet bills though) and the extremely cute photographs you get are worth it on their own. I also recommend getting an adult dog because all the hard stuff is done for you! No housetraining, chewing or spaying to worry about. Aren't dachshunds the best?!?!?

I have a weiner dog too, and I am looking for a male now to hang out with her...aren't they adorable, they just make you want to get more, LOL
