   I've bought these before, and earned the points when purchasing. Then earned when redeeming (was a gift for the wife). YMMV, but it has gone down like that for me - I was suprised.

   Someone already paid for the giftset, now you just have to go "redeem" the certificate for the perfume...so by that logic the answer is no. Points would have been issued to buyer.
