^I'm going to be purchasing honey from local producers from here on in. I guess Canada No 1 refers to the colour and texture of the honey and not to the country of origin.

About the garlic, the grocery store sells garlic from China for as low as $0.33. Ontario garlic can be as high as $2.97 for a similar size. Costco Kirkland garlic in the jar is from California 317725
