I'm sorry you paid for your tickets to the Jason B. show tomorrow, but how were you to know? I didn't think the S.A. would be giving tickets away for this one since it cost more to get in. Did you pay for the seating up top? Anyways, I know how you feel. Well, just go and enjoy it, l'm sure lots of other people paid to. I'll be there.

Yea, TL were really excellent. I've been looking them up on You Tube to hear somemore. I took some pics and will post a few later, not sure how great they came out. There were some girls near me freaking out about the first band, but no I wouldn't freak out but they were okay, just okay! Yes, I am going to FICW, TL are more my style too but I'll still check FICW out and there will be quite a few SCers. TTYL! Btw - did you stay to the end? 11:30 wasn't too late on a week night, but you had much further than me to go!

I'm glad I went - they were really good. (The first band, yech.) I saw that I missed some calls. I couldn't figure out how to put my phone on vibrate! Unfortunately my phone is pay-as-you-go so I don't get call display & couldn't call you back.
Did you get FICW tickets? I have 8 of them but I won't go to that. They're to "ballady" for me. Thin Lizzy is much more up my alley.

I was out all day at the Humane Society and just checked my profile around 7:30 p.m. I called you right away but got a busy signal, then I tried around 8 just before leaving for the S.A. and the phone kept ringing - tried a few times!! Thanks for your advice. Your right the HS used to give out pet food for people with pets in need, I'm going to volunteer tomorrow so I'll ask. He sits right near the corner of my street so I'd like to help, but yeah I should really watch it, don't want him to start wanting too much or expecting it every time I walk by, at the same time I feel bad for him and the dog! anyways thanks think I'll leave it for a bit. Bringing food to the dog is such a nice thing to do. You should be cautious about doing too much - he may escalate into scamming you in some way. Suggest to him that he go to his local shelter to ask for any stuff he needs. Most SPCA branches have food and possibly supplies for people like him - he just needs to walk into a branch and ask. They pass out stuff that's been left as donations but don't really want. (I haven't been a volunteer at a branch for a while but I'm pretty sure that should still be true.)

Thanks for the good luck fairy! Had to leave for the afternoon but maybe the fairy will help for next week! There's a guy out begging on the street with his dog so I've been bringing him extra food for his dog that I had here now he wants some things for him too, don't blame him for asking, but not sure how far to go!!! What would you do? i'd like to help him too but you just don't know their story, guess I'd better ask!

I don't know how or why but that "boy" needs to get put out of the public just like people who hurt other people, animals feel just as much!! That poor little guy and to top it off he's tied up so he can't even run away, that really get me too! We prevent them from protecting themselves and its one of us who hurts them........

Thanks a lot for letting me know the date has been changed! I was counting on Friday and planned on being there. Sunday is different but I'll still try. It really needs to be addressed, theres just too many cruel things going on and they should be charged just like it was a person they hurt, animals feel as much as we do. What you said that man did to that dog is absolutely horrible, what is wrong with some people, really how could you.....Is there somewhere this rally is being advertised so people know about it? Sorry you can't make it, I'm sure you would if you could.

Hi! Thanks for your support for the anti-cruelty rally. The organizers have changed the date to Sunday, May 30th, 12 noon to 3:30 p.m. I guess they were afraid of a low turnout if it was on Friday. I wish I could say "see you there" but I will be in Ottawa that weekend.

Thank you for posting that very important information about the rally in Queen's Park over Cruelty to Animals, something does definitely need to be done, I only wish it could be changed!! I will try my best to be there!

I got involved with the reform the THS movement for 2 reasons. One is because I went there to adopt a dog and was horrified and heartbroken with the conditions within the facility - especially the pit bulls. Also, I run a small private rat rescue. When my friend Vanessa put out a call to help when the protests were being organized - how could I not get involved? I had to do more than cry about what I saw in there.
P.S. I did adopt one of the pit bulls. She was very sick and only lived for 3 months but at least she died after knowing a loving home.
