what is it with us women and our chocolate?? My Dd is the same too. Stashes her " chocolate fixes " in her room......ha ha
Thanks for the renovating rep!! Hope your having a great weekend!
haha !! I remember watching my 2 sons as teens do the disappearing act with a row of cookies, it blew me away how many they would eat with a huge tumbler of milk!
Thanks coupon girl, I don't really shop online, but my husband and kids do so I'll mention it to them again!!
I didn't even know they had a birthday deal, I had my super savers card they offer and the lady just asked if it was anyone's birthday(I went with my mom and dd) might say on their website if it has to be the exact day or not
Had a small chat with a complete stranger at the pool ( in the change room after ) today and she had been doing the same as us. Barricading herself indoors for 2 weeks because of the sweltering temps. Thankfully because it was nice and cool today it gave her and her DH the incentive to go for a dip! ha ha
just saw the update on a C-section for the baby! Well the Dr's must realize that her " baby butterball " isn't co-operating by turning in position. Her recovery may be longer but I am sure she cares little about that now. So soon now!!
oh yes! When I was younger my Mom had me believing I'd be ironing all the time, well I barely ever do it?? Unless like I am making ( sewing an outfit ) something. These days the dryer makes the clothes decent enough to wear ( dress shirts though I will run an iron over ) That is hilarious! ( his underwear!! ) I had so much Vim I gave some away!! ha ha
we are waiting anxiously to pick up my DD from Pearson Sunday. ( she has been backpacking for 7 weeks! ) It has been a stressful, worrisome time for us BUT it's also been ALL good for her! I wonder what she'll think about our sweltering hot weather?
Thank you. I know, I'm having an awful time opening mine.
I was out gardening, and only lasted about 45 minutes. I'm sweating so much !!! At least you got a top. Funny, today I was looking at some fliers, and they already have their fall clothes, boots, and boots for sale. Too early !!! Yes, I won a new garage door and automatic opener. My opener is broken, and I got my fingers caught 3 weeks ago. Hurts like he!!. I'm going to lose at least one nail. So, I entered this contest, and won. I so needed it. Feel really lucky.
Actually, that work out sounds refreshing right now. I've been working outside most of the day. No, my 2 & 1/2 weeks in Florida came to an end on Sunday. It was a great trip. I had so much fun. Except that I missed my dog, Jake, so much, I wish I was still there.
So nice to get that experience every now and then ( getting prettied up ). We are plodding our way through the summer temps these days by going from the A/C in the house to the A/C in the van....ha ha .
Can't like or rep while on this silly tablet but wanted to comment on your post about you getting dolled up to go visit your DD today, hope that high end makeup cooperated for you!
Thanks coupon girl, I heard that it's supposed to be fantastic for whites! I would love to find something that really makes the whites white again!!
Thanks for the rep!!! Nothing worse than flaky TP when you least need it...yuck!!!
Thanks for the rep!
I am so patient now that I am retired AND also that I have no kids to keep an eagle eye on. I was just awful back when I was a FT working Mom, so frazzled all the time. just the 1 vehicle always, had to rush rush rush, get home and wake him, give him the van and then deal with the 3 kids. Honetly now whenever I do see a young Mom and her sweaty brow as she wrangles her tribe I am very sympathetic.
Glad the corn was good, sometimes it's hit and miss, even if the cobs look great. It's funny, sometimes I really like mature corn, other times I like the young, sweet stuff. Have a great weekend!
oh bless him ( your DS ) in this heat digging a path for plants and shrubs. We have never missed the backyard green because the hand mower needed to be dragged in through the front door through the hallway and into the backyard, then returned when we mowed the front! ( we just refused to have 2 mowers on hand ) Backyard fences connect all us neighbours so no access to the yard except from my kitchen door. Silly design I would say.
the serene feelings that come with relaxing out on the patio ( or on a deck ) or in our case hiding from our neighbours under our gazebo curtains are what summer is all about! Especially since I no longer sunbathe. The best thing DH ever did out back was cover ALL the remaining grass over with more levels of decking! No more mowing out there now thank goodness!
oh gosh who doesn't love building a waffle?? The toppings and whipped cream!! gah!! Have the best time....Happy 57th to DH!!
lol - babysitting is so much fun; isn't it great when they go home. That was some storm. They often say it's going to rain, and it doesn't. So, I spent a few hours giving front and back a really good watering. I guess it's like washing your car. Wash it, and it'll rain.
ha ha ! Yes a vacation or a long weekend often needs down time afterwards, crazy how that happens eh? Here's hoping you " ace " your hearing test.
That sounds like a great w/end. It sounds like tomorrow will be a day of rest for you. It rained here on Friday, but the rest of the w/end's been great.
I hope you feel better.
Thanks for the rep coupon girl and you're very welcome! Have a nice day!!!
I am very selective about what I " print " too when it comes to coupons. The Driscoll berry ones are good for $1.00 off, and I can squeeze 2 printed onto 1 page, plus my guidelines are IF the coupon is for a non taxable item ( example: real food ) then I go ahead, especially if applying the coupon makes the food item free!! But I won't waste my printer cartridge on these silly .50 off taxable products. That does not even cover taxes. ha ha Enjoy this lovely sunshine!!
What puzzle are you working on? Renovating a house is VERY expensive. I bought this house about 6 1/2 years ago. It's 38 yrs. old, and had not been maintained at all. The roof had holes, my foot went through a step coming up the stairs, and when cleaning the windows in the master, the window, frame & all fell into the back yard !!! Even stripping wall paper under the windows, the wall were covered with mould, and cupboards were hanging off the walls in the kitchen. Consequently, I've had to virtually rebuild this house from the top down. $250,000. later, and I'm running out of money, but still need to do a few things, but I can only afford to do one thing a year. 2016 - the front doors; 2017 - the driveway. Ok, enough of that. I hope you have a great day. I've got to get my act in gear. ttys
You're still younger than I am, so I know how much it hurts doing all the physical 'stuff'; gardening, shovelling, cleaning, etc. Oh well, one day @ a time. I loved the heat yesterday, and found today so cold. That wind just whipped right through you.
