  1. Lol..our grandson somehow learned that there were "Blue Morpho" butterflies there, and has since "adopted" them and has to visit them each time...! Speedy recovery, Hon!
  2. thanks lynn for the nice words. we try and take the girls to science north in the winter...we stay at the Hilton suites I think? its nice because we can cook in the room and they have a nice pool. my inlaws live in powassan outside north bay so we usually slip over there after for a night for a visit and then back down to barrie. we really enjoy our time at science north - especially the butterflies
  3. Well, whatever discomfort you were in before, and I'm guessing you were strictly limited with re to fat intake, you'll be pleased with the results from your surgery. I found the recover not at "easy and fast" as the docs and nurses made it out to me, a few spasms had me in distress, but overall, I am very happy, and it's been over 10 years with no problems. Good luck with your recovery.
I just noticed your little girls on our Science North butterfly! We took our grandson there every Sunday form age 2-4 and he still loves it there at age 5, everyone knows him, lol and he has to be dragged out for lunch!
Anyhoodles...do take it easy; you went through more than anyone can see from the outside (laproscopic, I'm guessing?)...rest....Lynn
  4. thanks for the rep. yes I had it removed... its been bothering me for a few years (started when I was pregnant with dd2). it's been inflamed for quite some time, no matter what I did food wise - I was on a strict rice diet for a month - so it was needing to come out.
  5. Aw, thank you Hon...64 and still sunny-side up! Have a lovely day...Lynn
  6. thanks for the tip!! i was just gonna feed it to the cat but that sounds better lol
  7. hehe keen eye! yes it was they had a blast there!
  8. Was your profile photo of your little ones taken at our Science North?! I just noticed it...lolll!!
  9. Hi, Hon...yes, that cake really ... um...took the cake!
She purchased the 'cars' cake pan at the Bulk Barn.
She used red fondant (purchased the red coloured one there, also) and rolled that out and onto the cake, made rough templates of all the other pieces, coloured white fondant the various colours, and applied them onto the red. Then she outlined it all with black gel.
She's really getting to be a great cook and cake-decorator, lol....ah, they do grow up so beautifully!
    Take good care, Hon..have a great week!...Lynn
