Good for you!! I think the problem is that nobody cares. It's sometimes hard for people to see how this happening with unions (Air Canada and now Canada Post) can affect them in the long run. Unionized sectors are what set the precedent for all others, so this was a big blow for everyone in Canada (except the huge corporations of course). My mom has also told me that the teachers are taking a strike vote soon. Obviously there are a lot of people who are unhappy with their work environments/benefits/pay and the Harper government doesn't care at all. It makes me wonder how the vote will come out though, now that they've seen two unions be treated this way. It's probably not even worth it for them - not until Harper is gone anyway.
Thanks for the rep!! BTW I was so angry this morning about the government that I actually wrote a letter to Stephen Harper. Never written a politician before. I hope people remember this when the next election comes
