  1. Ew ! I hope thats not normal sugar icing. The chicken does look good, though lol.
  2. speaking of weird foods, I was just reading online about a bakery in New York City that has bestseller cupcakes...like "Waffles and Chicken" lol..if you like cupcakes, Google "Robicelli's cupcakes"....here is the chicken and waffle one: yes, thats a real piece of fried chicken, lol:

  3. Thats how it was cooked lol, but I think they left them in too long lol
  4. Escargots are meant to be cooked in lots of garlic butter and then topped with "gratin"Yummy...otherwise yeah, eww...lol
  5. Haha, your teacher had expensive taste !
I did try escargot this summer, very very gross. More chewy and plasticy then anything, didn't really have much of a taste.
  6. LOL, I think I;ll have to take your word for it, there is no way I will ever try them...my mom always did say they taste like chicken, I just don't want to try them to make myself believe it, haha
No shame in trying new things...when I was in Kindergarten my teacher made us Turtle soup, like with a real turtle...I have remembered this nasty taste my whole life...and then a few months ago I found some frozen turtles in the Asian food section of a big grocery store for 12.00 and said "Oh, should we buy one and tell the kids that's what's for dinner tonight?" and we just laughed, ewww!!
  7. *blushes* frog legs are actually good. I got tricked into eating them once. My brothers told me they were chicken wings, and with sauce on them and such, I didn't think otherwise. So I ate them, and they told me after. Definitely no difference in taste. Not that i'd ever eat them again
I put nutella on my crepes with some bananas . Pretty good, actually.
  8. lol...yeah you'll never find me eating frogs legs though...but "crepes" are delicious with lots of whip cream and berries
  9. Yeah she's french, accent and all. Most french food I can't eat, it's too out there for my tastes, like pate , soup a l'amour and ragout. My food has to look like food - and not touch lol.
  10. I didn't know your mom was french too, so am I...and I LOVE pork hock stew, but if I tell my family (meaning my husband and kids) they refuse to eat it and gag..so everytime we have it I just call it pork stew, haha!
The though of eating pigs feet grosses them out too much, lol
I was born and raised in Montreal spent about half my life there so I still like making "home" made foods from there..
DH eats everything with ketchup too, but it is good with a little gravy, let me know if you like it
    Have a great night Bella
  11. Thanks for the rep !
I've never had any of that on my toutiere , usually it's just ketchup. But my mom's french, so when she makes her pork hock stew (which I don't eat.. just the thought grosses me out) everyone puts that on it. I guess i'm weird, who knows.. but just ketchup for me. I have some left over home made gravy in the fridge, so i'll try it tomorrow with a slice. Thanks for the idea
