They do, when I worked at the shelter, some cats would be visibly upset when a cat was adopted, even if they had not interacted with each other - just saw each other from cages across the room. Bumps was the oldest too so its probably some hierarchy issues (Roo would like to think he is an alpha cat)
We do, but he will hunt out his favourites (seriously, I hid his Angry Birds chirpy bird on a string toy in my underwear drawer when he wasn't looking and he worked all day on opening it, squealed in delight when he finally got it and dragged it out and dropped it on my lap). He also has a couple of catnip mice he carries everywhere like a security blanket, they are on my pillow with him at night, so they stay out, but the rest rotate. Quincy has been a little quieter since we lost Bumper so not playing with him as much, I think that is a big part. But yeah, they have way too many toys, he jokes that we live in a cat house and not the other way around, they have cat condos in the living room and office, beds in every room, a toy chest most kids would love - way too spoiled. Autumn, despite being a mean little *!&%*, cries when he chases her instead of giving him a good smack so he enjoys torturing her - Chloe taught him something!
we went to the petstore today for customer appreciation (benefits the local rescue group) and bought him a pile of new toys and he has finally tired himself out and behaved much better, I guess he was just bored yesterday. His 1000s of toys were not enough
Lol! Having just read the 3 Hunger Games books....I'm tending to agree.....maybe a break for me is in order.......
Yes, I was going through some tough time, in March, one of my big clients was closing his account (just got scared of the market volatility & couldn't handle the pain anymore). It was a stressful; as a loss of account, means loss of revenue..... & you know everyone has bills to pay. Our business is depending on client's confidence on the markets, & their ability to handle stress. which increases lots of our uncertainity.. Ash
Oh he has decided he doesnt like dogs, even when he was tiny, I took him to the cottage and he hissed with all his might at the dogs, they have cats too (who he loved) but the dogs were heartbroken at being hissed at, the younger one sat on the floor with his paws over his eyes whimpering because the mean little kitten hissed at him. He also meows and spits at the dog next door when she is out in the backyard. He sits in the window and goes all stiff and you just know they let her out. It surprised me given the pics you sent with the dogs because the time at the cottage wasnt that long after I picked him up
Haha after a night of him chirping at shadows, biting his own tail then crying because it hurts (which btw I find hilarious because he never learns his lesson doing it), chasing your cats, jumping at the wall and scratching it and knocking over everything he can find, your husband may change his mind. We have a large crate that Q likes to sleep in, so I threw him in there for an hour to give the others some peace and let him chill out, he has been much better since. Now he is just scooping water out of the drinking fountain in the kitchen and sliding around
I will, I threatened to send him back to you several times today - he is going through a really naughty phase
I've got you fooled! DH told me to pick the exact opposite description of myself. So now you'll know that I sing terribly!!
Thanks for clarifying. And I'm thankful I didn't offend you.
Friends and family are so much more fun than money for sure...but just a little bit more money would be nice sometimes. Just to ease the struggle sometimes.
I enjoyed reading your post...just wish we made that kind of money to be that creative. Oh well.
It's an awesome "ouchie" and "can't wait for you to come out" at the same time! LOL
There are many " experts " when it comes to raising kids, but hers made so much sense.
np, I see we both like Barbara Coloroso eh? She was the one that had the extreme parenting categories from Brick Wall to Hellicopter Parents?
You're welcome! I hope you also enjoyed the long week-end. I loved your very well thought out responses to those comments.
oh sooo true! I never looked at it that way, reaching people without tapping on the knocker, lol. Good point. Yes, and also I did like what you said about your FIL, years and years a person will not consider it, then one day they change their mind and seek out that faith, we all do things when we are ready and open to doing it.
Oh I cringed for you when you opened up in there. You are brave I will say that much, ha ha. Take those posts in that thread with a grain of salt, none of us are any better or worse than anyone else. Happy remaining hrs of the weekend! ( well I am off today that is why,) lol
Thanks I am not Christian, but in my faith paganism and Abrahamic tradition just don't go together, neither does disrespect for God's messengers. Have a great weekend
Nah I hope they get crucified...!
I wonder what he got for sure! Happy Saturday :D
Thanks for the rep! Hope all is well with you!
Wow, you are even more beautiful when you are larger than life! Kitties are good - Taffy is her regular old self; Vader the kitten (who is 7 months, but almost as big as her mom) is a little stinker, but oh-so-loveable! We have a cat bylaw in our city, so we can't let cats outside here. Our snow is nice and soft, so maybe it's a good day for Vader to get her feet dunked in it at least. Otherwise, she tries to catch snow through the window!
I hope it all balances itself out. ( commissions ahd the like) Win some, lose some.
Hi mq, snow for us today ( along with early winds, ) but nice out now. Thanks for the rep.
that voice of reason, thank god you have one! If we took every animal in that we oohed and awed over we'd all be broke!
