I know what you mean about the rush, hubby & I went out to eat Sun. for b'day to Lone Star Steakhouse, had a coupon from them for buy 1 entree, 1 free up to $15. We ordered from the lunch menu (much cheaper) & got 2 fab grilled chicken dinners w/bacon & melted cheese & 2 salads & then the manager brought over a killer desert w/ice cream, hot cocoa sauce, real whipped cream & warm brownies for my b'day. When the waiter brought our bill instead of giving credit for $8.99 chicken he took off $15 (which was up to $15 free entree). We tried to tell him & he insisted he was right-- dimwit kid. Anyway hubby & I made out of there like bandits--told him we couldn't go back there for awhile. Meal ended up costing us $6.50 plus tip.

well, like i just posted in the forum, i kinda FOOKED up.

iams has a deal out, buy $25 worth of their pet food, get $10 gc. so what did i do? bought an $11 bag and a $17 bag, 2 separate stores, used 2 $5 coupons with other stuff :D so thought ooh i'm smart. get home, 2nd purchased at zellers..not a paricipating store! the only store i can get it at is superstore. *fume* so now debating whether to take it back ? i did save an extra $3 as it was on sale..

i got more of those mr. clean wipes. 2.99 for .50.
again, the damn tax was about .45.
cascade 15's action packs.4.99 for 2.99 i paid .50 after coupon.. (again..the tax!)
mom got 6 royale double 12's for 3.99. at sdms after coupon. i got the pts nice save there. zellers wanted 9.99 for 24 double rolls, so she came out $2 cheaper.

and then little things, i had $4 in campbells coupons, and they put the habitant on 1.99 for .88 worked out free.

and the dawn dishwash liquid, i had rainchecks for sdm, but zellers had it on for .99, i had 10 .50 coupons. (again, the damn tax!!!)

so i'm quite stocked up on cleaning supplies, toothpaste, mouthwash, shavers, shave cream and haircolor. lol.

but as far as groceries go, mother hubbards cupboard happening here.

i spent $60 and got like $120 worth of stuff. but not all was on sale, some stuff i needed.

thanks jet. i only became a good shopper after joining sc, and only after learning all the ins and outs of those coupons. i used to think it was a waste of time driving around looking for bargains, but I SEE THE LIGHT NOW!!!
