at the SuperWalmart in the south end of Oshawa they have tons... they are in the regular cracker aisle in two different spots... one spot is marked $1.50 and the other is marked $2.97... they all have been scanned $1.50 for some time now. Give it a try!

omg - i know how you feel bout the shopping trips. When my daughter and i would go out shopping a few yrs ago - she would have been 5-8, there were times when the poor thing was trapped in the handicapped/family washroom for a record 3 hours. that was after trying to go back and for winter boots for her 4 times, and not getting back in time the last time :S

For these reasons i always made her wear her backpack with books, water and snacks. then she would gently explain when the manager came to knock on the door inquiring if i needed her to call someone. Back then it was just she and i (long story) so there was no one to call, and we just had to wait it out, and finally emerge n a walk of stinky shame lol

i think it is easier for other ppl to understand illness if they can see it - like a broken leg for instance. chronic illness/pain is so easy to destroy one's quality of life. i think the only way one can truly understand is to (sadly) join the club. and that is no gud at all!

if you don't wanna take predinsone there is a more refined (and $$$) type of steroid. i was on that a few times - less of the neg effects - but no bonus energy to get the house tidied lol. shoot - i can't think of the name sorry... you can google or you GI will know....

did you get the ibd sample from digestiveadvantage.com? i got it sent to several family members so i could have a good try @ it - the upside 55 cents a day!!!!!! i was dx just after uni - and had a blessed remission when preg, but it bit me in the ass 1 yr later (which apparently is txtbook for preg remissions)

i was doing fairly well till the last 2 years - my body just falls apart exponentially ever since. hard to guage whether a new symptom can be attributed to crohns or sumthin else. i really don't want to go to the dr for even more things wrong with me!

but it's par for the course i guess - it won't shorten your life expectancy - just throws iut all the things you expected for in your life lol
