My post about the snow at my front door made my night. There was no way I was going out in the dark to shovel.
The guys did it all when they got in from their shift at 3 a.m.

wow, your post was dead on! The one about having stuff you " store " at home when no longer using it. So tough to get rid of clothing for me too, finally accepted I will never fit into my tiny size 8 jeans ever again. So 2 weeks ago I cleared my entire close out, all bags given to Value Village ( included sizes from 8 - 22 ) all the ups and downs of gaining and losing weight over 20+ years. Good luck with your Mom!

yes! I just read your post to Purdee about Foodsavers. . I hope she does not waste time with a Thrift store machine that will more than likely be broken.

Wishing you and your Mom a very very happy Christmas!!

Thank you for the well wishes! Life is still one day/hour/minute at a time whatever the case may be!

we live about 4 minutes away from a Swiss Chalet so paying for delivery is a waste. Their food is expensive enough. DS loves to order but feels bad ordering just for himself, so he offers us a meal each and we accept! lol

just look at us getting an early jump on Christmas baking! ha ha

Not only can you have a bad day but your family needs to allow you to! So unfair that you did all the work only to be removed from the project?
Family run businesses are a double edged sword it seems. You VENT to us my dear! Anytime!! We have your back.

that casserole recipe with the pumpkin reminded me of your french onion pasta bake. Good grief! I'm supposed to avoid carbs....lol.

yes, even in the flyers this week Metro has the nerve to price their squashes at $1.69 a pound , while WM has it at $.064 a pound, FB at $0.98 a pound, and NF at $0.99 a pound. All over the map for prices. I will just continue to see who has the things I need priced lowest each week and hopefully go directly there or PM at NF. Strategies have changed greatly since the long gone days of snagging so many free items with coupons !

lol!! honestly I was just SO lazy last night, but I still craved a pork souvlaki in naan. My guys work evenings, so I just cooked up the 1 skewer and
ate it up begfore they got home!! ha ha They can cook theirs up on the weekend if they want. I was kind of embarrassed but got over it fast....tee hee

Hoping your Opa gets the green light to be at his own home. I mean if he has 2 caregivers that should be enough to convince the Dr's.

ty! Don't you just hate catching a summer cold?

I also get those spend offers from NF. It has also happened to me a few times where I am THAT close to the amount needed to earn the bonus points, so I went back.
Congrats on getting your 7,500 points!

ugh! That water tank installation created more work for you, and that you do not need. Ikwym when you say you're not sick BUT something is off. I sure get that. Trust that feeling. I say we are more intuitive than we give ourselves credit for. Oh and I had to lol when you felt like " hey?? didn't we JUST do dinner? " The cooking never ends here either. Try to get some YOU time over the weekend.

I record all foods eaten at each meal and snack every day as well as weigh myself every morning. Talk about obsessed eh? So when I read the post about the way you
are with your budgeting, that doesn't sound obsessive at all to me. ha ha Carry on!!

trust me we are still lol at DS's soup ingredients! I never want to squash his desire to cook and his adventurous style, but c'mon...process cheese on top? What was he thinking?

my DH tells me that at work when he gets to his baby cucumbers in his dinner he places the end of one in his mouth and walks around asking co workers if they have a light! OMG, I asked him how old he was? lol

good morning! I wanted to take a quick moment to wish you ( and your Mom ) a very Happy and restful Christmas! You were wise to opt for a simpler
version for the festive dinner. Too much baking at this time of year can really cause illness brought on by stress. I normally shy away from slow cooker meals
because I am impatient, but about 45 minutes ago I got a batch going of Slow Cooker Chicken Curry, the recipe said 7 hours on low. We'll see what it looks like after 7 hours...lol

I feel your pain on defrosting that freezer. It is time consuming, but one of those chores that is so satisfying once you can load all the items back inside. It looks all fresh and organized again.
