  1. Thanks. I have a pressure canner. I canned potatoes and beans with it and spaghetti sauce. I wanted to make Guinness stew and can it. I hear you have to thicken it after you open it so can it with just a broth. Not sure why. Do you happen to know? Thanks a bunch.
  2. You need a pressure canner to can meat! Cut all the fat off of the pork. Cut into cubes and filled the jars with the raw pork. Pressured canned it. Can't remember the time off the top of my head but I think it was for 75 minutes.maybe 90. It doesn't look very appetizing in the jar, but I drain it and put in pan with a bit of BBQ sauce and heat up. It tastes amazing. Also I have pressure canned roast beef, chicken and meatballs. All yummy!
