  1. So glad to hear everything went well and that you're recovering nicely. It's a scary thing, that's for sure, my hubby went through that twice before finally having his heart valve replaced: now THAT'S truly frightening! Just think "Spring", Hon!! It's coming!!!
  2. Hi Lynn,
Everything is just fine in my little corner of the world! Recovering nicely from my stent procedure in December and getting my health and life back to normal..or as normal as it gets. have a wonderful week!!
  3. Hi, TG! Yep, still on the mend; my surgeon said I have until next Christmas before everything ends up where it all should be wrt the numbness in my leg and foot, so there's no rushing things. And how's by you? All well in your corner of the world? Have a lovely week, Hon!
  4. hey Lynn, thanks for the rep today!! Hope the leg is still mending and life is good!
  5. Happy New Year Lynn, I hope your healing is progressing!
Thank you for the beautiful message.
  6. Thanks for the REP Lynn, and yes I think you are right on the spoiled brat statement!!Have a wonderful day.
  7. Thank you, Thriftygranny....right now hubby's making homemade burgers and I'm still on the sofa trying not to breathe too deeply so that I don't cough, and watching "Casablanca" for perhaps the 50th time...lol!
  8. Asthma is nothing to brush off, both my son and daughter have it and there has been some very frightening incidents.Hope you can get to the bottom of it and get some sleep.
  9. Thank you, TG...I did look it up and I am allergic to molds, trees, spores, etc, so it wouldn't surprise me if snow mold is among the culprits...after all, I do hate snow with an intensity that would make it turn on me!
I'm so tired of not sleeping..I'm taking my Ventolin, Reactin, and just found my old prescribed Symbicort and took it twice today! No difference. If this continues tomorrow I'll call our doctor; I need to find a way to sleep and stop choking and coughing. My paternal grandmother died from asthma, and altho' meds have certainly come a long way, why can't something help me? I'm feeling sorry for myself....there are others with far greater problems than mine, so I'd better snap myself out of it! Thanks, Hon...
  10. Here is a short article on snow mold Lynn. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa...rgies-1.952463
  11. Hi, TG...snow mold?i I've never heard of it...although I am allergic to molds generally...jeepers, could that be it?? It started as the melting got underway...and February is usually the start of my 'pollen' allergy season (a normal time, according to our doc)...wow! I'm going to look into it, and thank you!!!
I do hope you have another opportunity to visit Disney again, too! And you're right..it is magical seeing it through the eyes of a youngster! Only one grandson for us. Our DD said they would have considered another one IF they could be guaranteed another boy, and if her hubby carried it next time! It's pretty obvious, I think that it'll be only the one...
    Take care, Hon!
  12. Thanks for the REP Lynn!! I only have one granddaughter who will be nine in June..impatiently waiting for more!! I took her and my 3 daughters to Disney land two years ago and it was magical.I would like to go one more time though!!Watch that swelling in your leg especially after flying, hoping it gets better soon and the lack of sleep doesn't sound like your having a great time either. Perhaps snow mold is bothering you, I have an awful time with it.
  13. Thanks for the rep Lynn!! Hope your weekend is fun and relaxing!!
  14. Awe thanks for the rep Lynn!!We love Christmas here!!How ever unless John boy had a few drinks and dropped the occasional f bomb we are not very Walton Like!!!!
  15. TG, I really enjoy that play and have seen it live once and a couple of times on tv...hubby, otoh, isn't a fan, but will bravely sit through it again for me...both "kids" enjoy live theatre also, and want to see it; I know our DD will really enjoy it. And she and I and my SIL and her DD are planning another "girls' weekend" in Toronto before Christmas to see a play and do our Christmas shopping...love is full! LOL!! Hope you're having a lovely week, Granny!!
  16. Well it sounds like a perfect day!!I haven't thought of the play Our Town in years, I helped do costumes for it many many years ago, one of my favorite plays.I hope you enjoy it!!

  24. Thanks for the REP Lynn. I really think I could make a pie quicker than it takes me to drive to Costco and buy one, I just couldn't go to the bakery and buy one I would have to look at all the new Christmas merchandise first!
