thanks for your reply Zedgirl. Yes, I would take a bus too, much cheaper but does take a long time. I can handle it though, took one to South Carolina once and Florida. I don't think my daughter would want to stay in a hostel but it is much cheaper. Don't know when I'll make it there unless I find a half decent deal.

Yes, the portabella mushroom burgers are good - just grill them and top with roasted red peppers and avacado mixed with garlic and a bit of yogurt. Take care and have a good weekend!

Hi ecat, nice to hear from you! When I went to NYC I just stayed at a hostel, it's a lot cheaper too. I also took the bus down there - a bit of a longer ride but cheaper than flying (next time I'd like to take the train though).

Nice pic of Town Square. I've been looking into going to New York with my daughter for a while but the darn places to rent for a few nights are sooo ridiculously priced!! Some of the apartments rented privately at least have a fridge and stuff but then a lot of them want you to pay their cleaning bill of $100 for a few days!!! Anyways, how long were you there and do you have any advice on places to stay???
