Kraft Tex Mex cheese went bad in a week! (PICTURE too)

I bought this cheese at RCSS about a week ago, I went to use it for garlic bread last night and it had a nasty mold piece in it. I am going to contact customer service about this. How gross is that? Notice the expiry date is April 25, 2010.

i had an issue with a block of Kraft cheese , same thing, one moldy piece, and the pkg was unopened...i called them and gave them the upc, they were very good and mailed me a fpc for cheese. Never had the problem since. I'm sure they'll resolve the issue, but I agree thats so gross...

I called Kraft, the 1-800 # on the back of the package, I did not want to bother going back to the store and having an issue wth the store..so i just told Kraft I live a ways from the store (i do, but only 15 minutes away)

That's why I never buy already shredded cheese, just blocks, and shred it myself then freeze it in airtight bags. Shredded cheese goes moldy the fastest cuz they aren't kept in airtight bags.

eww that is pretty nasty.. id deffinatly be bringin it back! although i too buy block cheese.. you get more for the price

This happens to me with all brands of shredded cheese. I find as soon as you open it up it goes in a week. I am going to start freezing mine. It sucks because it's very expensive.

I buy the big industrial blocks of cheese, some ziplocs and spend a few hours shredding it myself and then freeze it. Lasts much longer I think - since it's frozen hubby can't just reach in the fridge and break off a piece to chaw on.
