My story - How I became SC-er

Hi everyone,

I just want to share with you my short story about becoming a member in this forum. I was planing a vacation to an warm country ( Cuba, Mexico, Dominican R.) and wanted to bring some stuff to the people there really like. I was twice on vacation to Cuba and they are so warm people but they have a lot of needs - cosmetics, shoes, perfume, t-shirts, etc. First time I was not aware about it and I just gave them my own stuff when I left. Second time I was more prepared and now I was hunting for deals or freebies, just trying to help them as much as I can. So that is how I found this site and I liked the people here so much, I was thrilled. I get finally a lot of deals for myself too, so my saying is - When you help others, you actually help yourself too. Helping people is wonderful, it makes you feel soo good.

love this brag. been to Cuba and agree the needs are great. during that trip my friend, who had connected with a doctor in Ontario, arranged to bring medical supplies to a doctor in Cuba. He was so grateful for all the stuff...and he got his first Doctor's coat...he cried, we cried. It was awesome. WTG and welcome to SC!
