I decided to try my luck at the Northside Walmart since everyone was saying how good they are with printables.

I had 3 of the $4 WUB2 Ziploc coupons. The cashier had to ask someone else if I could use the coupons and when she was telling me that she could not give me money on them since they were more than the price of the product the other woman (maybe she was the supervisor) told her...."no actually you are supposed to put the overage against her other purchases don't you remember the sheet of paper I gave you to read the other day".

Turned out to be a great shopping. I had:

    4x Dempsters Baguette @ $3.47 used 4 x FPC
    1 x Nivea @ $1 used $2 coupon
    6 Ziploc bags @ $1.58 used $4 WUB2
    4 x $1.49 Colgate used $1 coupon

Other purchases without coupons to make sure I had something to put the overage toward
    2 x Crispy Minis
    2 bags of Goldfish

Total cost before coupons was $38.56. Total after coupons $6.68

The young woman behind me congratulated me on my purchases. She was in awe that all that cost me so little. She knew about save.ca but I told her to check out Smartcanucks.

I think I will go back to the Northside more often.

    ♥ Northside WM!!

Do you have a copy of the WM Coupon policy?? It helps to carry that with you - I've had to "educate" cashiers on their own policy before...

I don't think I would have the guts to show them their own policy!! I am a bit chicken when I use coupons. I really should have made sure to remember the face of the cashier so that I can go to her the next time.

Awesome! I go to the NS Walmart as well - but I don't think I've ever had a total OOP like yours!

I went back last night and again I had some overage but more than enough in my basket to cover it. I used the self-serve cash and I was really surprised that the cashier did not say the usual "I don't think you can use this $5 WUB2 coupon on these products because they are not costing you $5". She just looked for each product in my bags and had no problem punching the 2 x $5 coupons.
