Brexit: U.K. Votes to Leave EU, Cameron to Step Down as PM

It's now official: Britain has voted to leave the 28-nation European Union. The ``leave'' side won Thursday's historic referendum with 51.9% of the national vote compared to 48.1% for ``remain.'' Prime Minister David Cameron said the United Kingdom needs “fresh leadership” after the vote and has stepped down. The national result, which has caused the British pound to plummet to its lowest levels since 1985, is expected to launch years of negotiations over Britain’s trade, business and political links with the EU.

Led Zeppelin Cleared of Plagiarism in Stairway Case

Led Zeppelin did not copy the opening chords of Stairway to Heaven from the US band Spirit, a US jury has found. It said the riff Zeppelin was accused of taking from Spirit's 1967 song Taurus "was not intrinsically similar" to Stairway's opening. Jimmy Page and Robert Plant said they were grateful to "put to rest questions about its origins... confirming what we have known for 45 years." The case was brought on behalf of Spirit's late guitarist, Randy Wolfe.

Lou Lamoriello Being Coy About Leafs' Pick in NHL Draft

Leafs GM Lou Lamoriello said Thursday he's going to keep everyone guessing — including the Arizona-born, 18-year-old Auston Matthews — until it's time for the Maple Leafs to announce their first pick in the NHL draft Friday night. Matthews, who played professionally in Switzerland last season, is ranked first by NHL Central Scouting. He has the chance to be the 7th US-born player selected No. 1, and 1st since Patrick Kane. The next two rated players are Finnish-born forwards Patrik Laine and Jesse Puljujarvi.
