I had a similar call yesterday. And when I told them I didn't have a puter, they were totally thrown by my answer and hung up.

You wouldn't believe this, but I sent that information to relative and friends, and didn't our DD and her DH get a VERY similar phone call in the early evening??!!!! Saying they had some sort of warnings (which turned out to be innocent computer stuff) on their computer...omg...she thanked me for sending that info to her, since she was the one who answered the phone. And would you believe, she said, "call later and talk to my husband" and they DID??!! The nerve!!! He shut them down pretty quick!
This must be rampant now!!
Thank you so much again for this information, KrazE!!

My Mom gets this call all the time - and she has NEVER in her life owned, used or done anything with a computer - when they called she pretended to do everything on the computed with the guy and totally messed with him the entire call. When they asked my mom her IP address she said "No, I don't have to pee do you?" and hung up.. haha
They call still but there's nothing she can do but ignore them.

They even called me at the cabin this summer, right after I got my new lap top. I questioned them throughly and then said I would have to talk to my son who was a computer programmer and they should call me back in an hour. Never heard from them again. Seemed funny to me that they would call shortly after I registered my new lap top with Dell.

As one of the 'poor, elderly people who don't know better', I just let my answering machine screen all my calls.
