Gilles Duceppe is very personable, very likable in interviews. He's a hard man to hate.

Geez Dave maybe you should hear him when he talks about how he hates anglos and how they have destroyed Quebec. Yes he openly HATES the english. I say right back at ya Gilles.
Anyhoo, I would like to hear from the conservatives in our group on how they would like to downsize the government . Do you mean cut down on the number of civil servants, get rid of some social services what would you like to see?

So is everyone up for a Spring election?
There is one thing I would like to comment on, I have been seeing some "attack" ads on t.v. very american style. I do not want to see this from ANY side! I loathe it they are an insult to my intelligence and I really hope we (all parties) won't stoop to that kind of campaign.
I want to know how they are going to reduce the deficit, help the economy move along at a steady growth rate(without giving into the pressures of lifting regulations) enhance medicare because it is sadly being neglected, and protect our border from the U.S. extreme right wingnuts, I want to see a national Daycare and Prescription drug plan(the provinces are not moving fast enough on this, except Quebec where we have both), I want that contract cancelled for the bombers that we do not need, I want better protection of our Northern border, that's for starters.
I also want poutine to become the national dish. lol

They actually pulled the attack ads (both parties) so hopefully we wont be seeing them as soon as the min number of ads purchased passes which should be soon
I seen the new Conservative one last night and it actually does go some way to explain what they hope to do for a change

We have Ontario elections in Fall too - who do you think will win? Hudak seems to have lost some of the lead he had, a minority government here too? Nightmare!

NDP are not stupid enough to join the Liberals in the state it is in, they hold too much power in the case of minorities, even if people dont like the idea of a coalition
