I tried to use the $10.00 Multibionta Internet printable coupon for the sale at Sobey's. They were $9.99 so FREE with coupon. I finally found 4 packages at the Tacoma Sobey's, and was told they no longer accept Internet coupons over $5.00. There was a memo about it. She was polite, and there was a line so I didn't ask to see the new policy.
Has anyone heard anything about this??This thread is currently associated with: N/A

Sobeys banner stores no long honor printable coupons.....Due to a large amount of fraudulent online coupons circulating.

Did some checking, and it is actually stated right in their coupon policy.
Learning experience, so now I know :D Thanks everyone for the responses!Internet coupons may be accepted if they meet the above and the following
criteria:
....
• The face value of the coupon cannot exceed $5.00 off.

Yep it's true. I wasn't aware of it either until I tried the same thing. Luckily I had one $10 insert coupon so I was able to use that for one pack.
I was told in a conversation with a cashier there once that they didn't take printable FPCs, because they are most likely fake. Understandable. I have only had good couponing experiences at Sobeys....unlike SS......but that is another story.....

Yes, the manager was very polite when she told me. And I thanked them for letting me know.
It's all learning, and I'm glad I know. When I reviewed their policy, it is correct. They do not accept printable or Internet FPCs.
Overall, they have a pretty great coupon policy. And their customer service is fantastic!! What more could you ask for. We all have to be educated so that coupon use is fair and ethical for both consumers and vendors :D :D

I was using internet coupons at Sobey's right up till the end of January 2012. I happened to get the head cashier at my check-out the last time and she told me they don't accept them anymore. About 2 weeks later I noticed a new internet coupon policy posted at the check-outs and I managed to get a copy:
-Must include picture of the product on coupon
-Must not be blurry
-Can not exceed $5.00
-Must not be for a free product
-Must not have an expiry date that exceeds 6 weeks from date of purchase.
-All internet coupons will have an expiry date visible
-Must have a Canadian redemption address
-Must have only one UPC/bar code
-Must say "INTERNET COUPON" to be legitimate
Have to admit a couple of them are weird, but because its too much hassle I just shop at Super Store now.
All life is connected, no matter how far apart
