Anyone ever built their own pond?
My mom has a little corner by her front steps that is basically useless and ugly very much like the picture, where two brick walls meet. We are tossing around the idea of building her a pondless waterfall in that corner, and having it run into the garden that spans under the front window.
We dont want any pool of water, just the bit of water trickling around.
I have no idea how much something like this would cost.
Im not sure if this is going to turn out to be a bigger project than I want..they all seem to turn out that way.

Ive learned some interesting things from youtube videos. A few of them showed how to use things from around the house instead of buying the kit. The kit like the picture is almost 1000$!!!

www.google.com is a great search engine, I would type in "How do I build a pond" and many different websites will pop up. www.ask.com & www.ehow.com are good sites as well for locating information.

when i was a teenager I built a pond, with a friend of mine and it turned out really nice. We had two levels, in a kinda jelly bean shape. And we used a old waterbed to line the bottom and sides of it. It was only about 4 ft. deep. And than we put rocks and plants around it, and little goldfish and water plants in it. It turned out really nicely. Gonna have to bug my mom see if she has a picture of it.

I could TOTALLY be misreading this, but it sounds like you're wanting to build an outdoor fountain with the reservoir being the pond ? Thought I'd offer up some links I found when I was researching fountain building.

Instructables has a bunch of other links to similar projects. Good luck and please post a pic when you're done !
