... A Carlton Cards near me is shutting down. When I arrived they were charging $1 for 40 cards, but halfway through they bumped it up to 50 for $1 and knocked the Christmas ornaments to 5 for $1.

I bought 82 cards and 10 ornaments (some are still in bags protected from the cats- for now.)

Original total would have been $528.92. Cost me $4.50.



I wouldn't say I saved $524 only because I wouldn't have paid that much for ornaments and I never get the kids Hallowe'en cards, but I'm good for the next 5-10 years, anyway depending on the occasion.

Funny, I used to do this sort of thing but never even thought of that. I bought one for each of the kids and purple and silver balls to go with the ones I got at Target real cheap. *grins*

Amazing prices! It's always handy to have cards in advance for special occasions . . . and, if you have to mail them after April, the increased price of stamps won't hurt as much since the cards only cost you about 2 cents each!
