My parents have a freezer full of stew beef that they are sharing with our family. Does anyone have great suggestions for using stew beef for anything other than stew? I'm thinking of maybe trying to marinate in BBQ sauce and then slowly cooking it in the slow cooker without any additional liquid. Thoughts?

Yes, slowcooking would work, for sure.
Marinating it would get it softened up to use in lots of dishes - for stirfry, chop suey, etc.
Cut in small pieces, and simmer slowly to use in a stroganoff, chili, shepherd's pie, tacos, nachos - add to pasta sauce to use in lots of things.
Soup, like beef barley, minestrone.

Definitely the crock pot. With cream of mushroom soup and a bit of wine. The wine turns it into an amazing sauce and you would never believe it was mostly cream of mushroom soup.
