The bookstore location (where the Rubik's Cube-like architecture looms over pedestrians) will not be renewing its lease.

The concept of having this bookstore (it made news with its film-themed book suggestions in its displays) with the then new theatre (which also showed Toronto premiere anime movies) was novel for the downtown.
What retail concept will later take over the spot to appeal to the urban and the condo-dwelling residents?
Let me know if this store carries Burda Style US Spring quarterly issue--cannot find it here in Hamilton (it's not the monthly from Germany). This thread is currently associated with: Indigo Chapters Coles Bookstore, Spring Shoes2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

Dare I say it? Condos. Hopefully not, we can't cram more people in here anymore with no extra roads and no extra subway service.

The sidewalks on busy downtown streets can be obstacle courses (sandwich boards, fixtures, boxes, construction hoarding, etc.). Agree about the people density and TTC subways-not enough room anymore.
