It would work the same as a 20x event. However, if you have a cashier that declines to take it, you may need to convince them to take it anyway. I find they often don't understand why I'm trying to use a 20x coupon when I'm only spending say $10.
Also remember that it's ONLY the manufacturer's $ off coupons that count towards the 20x as they are treated as cash. Free item coupons (like b1g1) or shoppers pay xxx or $ off coupons reduce your total and aren't treated as cash.

thanks for the help.
but i'm a little confused.
you say manufacturer's $ off coupons count toward the total as cash.
but in the last line you said $ off coupons reduce my total and aren't treated as cash.

Maple was referring to the SDM Personalized coupons - like "any Dove Soap - pay $2.79" ... the $2.79 will apply to your total base points but the regular shelf price (ie. $8.00) will not apply. Whereas if you are buying a product for $10 and you have a manufacturer coupon for $3 off - the full $10 will count towards your base points. Hope that helps

Sorry, I meant Shoppers $off coupons aren't treated as cash. So if for example you have a Shoppers $2 off coupon for shampoo and the shampoo is $3.99, the register changes the shampoo to $1.99 and you get 20x on $1.99. If you have a $2 off manufacturer coupon for shampoo, you would get 20x on $3.99 and the manufacturer $2 would count as cash.
Hope that doesn't make it more confusing lol.
