Short version was trying to get VIB pts on diapers and wipes - $10.99x2(cruisers and swaddlers) and 1xFREE wipes with each purchase 3000+3000+2000=8pts on $1.98.. Easy enough..
Saw Fructis on sale $2.99 2xhair mask treatment and 1xleave in conditioner.. -$1 coupons..
I see they ring in at $3.99 so I point out they are clearly on display for $2.99 and with a slot to fit in etc.. CLEAR!
Ok.. So cashier confirms they are $2.99.. FINE. . I was going to mention SCOP but just because I wanted to get in and out and was happy with the $2 I didn't.. BUT she does.. She says this
You will get first hair mask free - second one at $2.99 and third one (there was a third, different product type) at $3.99 ...
So I wasn't going to say "actually the 2 different products are free and the same one is $2.99" but for her trying to tell me that I should actually pay $3.99 for an item that isn't $3.99..
Of course cashier has no clue that I am well versed in SCOP - so I explain that actually since 2 different products with 2 different UPC's rang up incorrectly they are BOTH free.. and NONE will be at $3.99.. She actually told me she knows her way to be true because they did that to her at walmart..
Anyway - manager didn't seem to have an issue with what I said.. Would you get scop and then pay the incorrect (overpriced) amount? lolLast edited by LisaLisaBoBisa; Mon, Nov 10th, 2014 at 11:43 PM.

If you purchased 3 diff products, 2 have diff UPC, you will get those 2 free and tag price for the 3rd item. You should never have to pay the wrong scan price

There is a lot of confusion among cashiers about what SCOP is and is meant to do. I bought something that had scanned in higher than the shelf marked price .... but the shelf price was an error (probably put there randomly by a stock person who hadn't checked it properly.... the cashier offered SCOP .... but $10 off the full price rather than the "shelf marked price" .... in her mind SCOP was that I got $10 off .... the shelf price was $9.99 so I should have gotten it free but paid 4.99 instead.... I didn't want to argue and the fact that SCOP was offered rather than asked for was a relief.
