I haven't tried them yet. This weekend, I noticed that a Laura Secord who had been at the same location at my local mall, had been replaced by Purdy's.

I love Purdy's chocolate and ice cream ! I don't know if it's Canada's favourite chocolate or not but I do know their stores are not Canada wide. They are more prominent in BC and Ontario (bigger cities though not small towns). I'd love for them to expand all over as they are good quality chocolates. I also wish Ghirardelli would take over Canada (to me they are THE BEST).

Purdy's has had a store in my city for as long as I can remember. By 'most popular', I assume they mean chocolate shop or chocolate shop brand, not just brand of chocolate. I think the big companies like Cadbury and Mars have them beat by a long shot.
I used to really like their hedgehogs as a kid, but you can find those made by other brands for less in most stores for Christmas. Botticelli makes them.

I'm not sure about being the most favorite chocolates in Canada. They don't have locations across Canada although you can order online. I received some hedgehogs and a small box of chocolates as a gift. They are good, however I find Cadbury tastes very yummy (less money too).

Their dark chocolate beats anything I've ever had.

Their mint melties and peanut butter daisies are yummy. Also try their himalayan sea salt caramels.

Purdys are amazing, and when you get a really fresh batch that they have just put out, nothing compares.
Laura secord is nasty, they dont taste any different than the boxed brands you get in stores. I've never been impressed with Godiva either.
Up til recent years purdys was out west, so they are very well known thereIn 2020 I had 100 FREE Grocery pickups! Subscribe to PC Optimum Insiders & get 25,000 PC Optimum pts

My friends all love chocolate, but for me, chocolate is always too sweet, so I'm not interesting in any chocolate. I prefer the fruits.

i also had a box of Laura Secord once and was wildly unimpressed by them it took me forever to get through it...
purdys is very iconic canadian chocolate, the stores seem to only be in bigger cities and you can often find them in most airports (or atleast a place that sells a small sampling of them) purdys also does the school fund raisers (kids sell chocolates they get ordered and make a fraction of the $$)When life hands you Edward Cullen...throw him back and demand Eric Northman....

Perdy is not the most popular, but one of them. It has good reputation among my friends. For sure, I love it!
