I'm seeing events posted for shows and malls that involve attendees or customers/passersby to consider giving or doing something to help others.
Thought it would be worth putting this thread for those "good things" that you might consider doing when you have the time/circumstance/opportunity to do so.
Toronto's Ultimate Travel Show-Suit Case Drive, January 24-25, booth 108
http://www.totravelshow.com/events/2...anuary-24-2015
Do you have a delicately used full-sized suitcase* that you are considering throwing out?
Why not donate it to this amazing cause instead - Not Just Tourists is seeking delicately used full-sized suitcases for their volunteer travellers who deliver medical supplies to clinics in-need around the world.
Suitcases are left in the recipient country so they’re always looking for replacements!
*We welcome and request full-sized suitcases and/or large back packs only
Yonge Street Mission-Longest Underground Clothing Drive, Jan. 19-23, 2015.

Starting at 7:30am to 2:30pm, volunteers will be accepting gently used clothing for men, women and children at 17 locations along Toronto’s iconic underground PATH.This thread is currently associated with: N/A2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

Aeropostale is doing a denim drive at all stores (Jan. 28-Feb. 15). You can get a 20% discount off your total purchase as well.
There's a contest for schools that collect the most jeans to win a visit from the Vamps.

Something that was new to me is that you can check an extra suitcase for free with Westjet if you're taking donations.

Since Westjet is involved in helping Dominican Republic children with playgrounds and such, members must be aware of the importance of travellers bringing small amenities to give to other adults at the destination. A good travel idea! How is the suitcase freebie recorded for your flight-do you have somewhere to indicate it on your booking or do counter staff do the handling of the case?
