Thread: Question for Senior Day experts

OK - so couple questions before I try a senior day shop with my mom!
Does it have to be her card or can it be mine? (mine has a spend $100 get 18500 pt coupon on it, so that might be handy)
In order to get the $10 promo card, do we have to spend $50 before or after the 20% off (so, can it just be subtotal $50, or does it need to be at least $62.50 before the 20% off?)
"Seniors save 20% PLUS Receive a $10 Shoppers Drug Mart Bonus Card when you spend $50 or more* on almost anything in-store."
This tells me that I just need to spend $50 to get the 20% and the gift card.
However, "*Offer valid on the purchase total of eligible products of $50 or more after discounts and redemptions and before taxes."
which makes me wonder if I need to be at $50 after the 20% off.

Your total after the discount has to be $50 or greater. You can use your own card as long as your mom is with you.

The "Receive a $10 Shoppers Drug Mart Bonus Card when you spend $50 or more* on almost anything in-store" promotion is also occurring on next week's seniors' day (Thursday, July 2) http://flyers.smartcanucks.ca/canada...e-27-to-july-3.
60 years old at some SDMs, while others are 55. I live between two SDMs where one is 60 and the other is 55, even though both of these SDMs are owned by the same pharmacist.

You can still purchase sale products and get the promo but you will not get a further discount on the sale priced items. As long as the cashier tells the computer it's a senior discount the promo will kick in regardless if you have a cart full of regular priced items or all sale items provided the total is $50 before taxes.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I think I've decided not to drag my mother out to Shoppers tomorrow. I'll wait till Friday and use my 15k back wus 50k points, since most of the stuff I was hoping to get was regular priced anyway. I'd rather spend my points on it, then get 20% off (and my mother will be very happy she doesn't have to come shopping with me!)
