its just a prepaid Master Card or Visa , so you can use it anywhere for regular shopping etc.

2 Pins for a $ 5 card is not really worth it ..you will have to spend atleast 10 bucks for the 2 cereals, the lowest price you can get is $ 5 per box..so you will pay $ 5 for 2 cereals after the gas card.

other brand cereals similar to Kellogs in taste and size often go on sale for that price anyways ..say $ 2 or $ 2.50 per box .

Wish they would change it so you could just enter the pins online......would be a lot easier all around.....

Don't forget to factor in the cost of a stamp. That means you need to buy 2 family size Kellogg's cereals to get one $5.00 card - stamp ($ .85 + $ .10 tax) = $4.05 is the actual value you're getting back.

If you use the cereal this is a great deal. If you don't why bother?

That makes it a worthwhile deal when you purchase 2 boxes at Walmart:

    2 x Kellogg's Family Size Cereals @ $3.88 each = $7.76 . . .

    get up to $3.99 fresh fruit (i.e., 7 lbs. bananas*) = FREE (with tear-pad coupon) . . .

    send in forms for pre-paid credit card = + $5.00 . . .

    pay for stamp to mail forms = $ .95 ($ .85 plus tax) . . .

    $7.76 + free - $5.00 + $ .95 = $3.71 final out-of-pocket cost for 2 family size cereals and 7 lbs. bananas (or other fresh fruit up to $3.99)

*NOTE: bananas are $ .57 per pound at Walmart.
    $ .57 x 7 pounds = $3.99

And if you buy two Kellogg's Frosted Flakes family size cereals, you can get a total of $1.50 cash back from Checkout 51 until Wednesday, July 15.

    $3.71 - $1.50 cash back = $2.21 out of pocket.

The $3.88 Kellogg's family size cereal sale continues in the next Walmart flyer until Wednesday, July 22. Checkout 51 has cash back offers for Kellogg's Froot Loops and Rice Krispies cereals from July 16 to 22.

There's usually at least one kind of Kellogg's cereal available for cash back on Checkout 51 every week, so it will be worth it if combined with a sale.

The webpage for this promotion is available now at http://www.kelloggs.ca/en_CA/cashforgas.html; although it doesn't appear at http://www.kelloggs.ca/content/North...Promotion.html. Promotion also includes participating Nutri-Grain bars and Rice Krispies, which require four pin codes.

So even the family size you need to buy two boxes. On the blog it makes it sound like you only need to buy one family size at Food Basics to get a 5.00 gas card. I will have to re-read, however that is what it sounded like to me.

Omg knee jerk reactions reading this blog clearly states you need 2 boxes to get a $5 gas card it's clearly black and white. I busted out laughing when I read 3 when it clearly says 2 boxes . Please people read before you post you only get others confused on here . If only the world adopted this practice we would be better off.

I found Farmboy (Peterborough) has kelloggs kid family size cereal on sale for $3.49, cheaper than Walmart if you can pricesmatch and get pins for $5 gas card.
